I HAVE RECIEVED TWO CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER BETWEEN YESTERDAY AND THIS MORNING. I DID TALK TO SOME FOREIGN ACCENT GUY BY THE NAME PETER WOOD OR SOMETHING . I DO KNOW HIS NAME IS PETER. HE TOLD ME HE WAS CALLING TO COLLECT DEBT FOR TWO PAYDAY LOAN SERVICES THAT I RECEIVED LOANS FROM AND HE SAID THEY FILED A CASE AGAINST MY SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER FIOR FRAUD AND HE READ ALL MY PERSONAL INFORMATION TO ME AND SAID THAT IF I DIDN'T WANT TO SETTLE TODAY THAT I WOULD HAVE TO PAY 4000 DOLLAR IN COURT OR TO STAY OUT OF COURT I COULD SETTLE FOR 800 DOLLARS AND PAY ONLY HALF OF THE MONEY TODAY BY 12 NOON. IF I DON'T I WILL HAVE TO GO TO COURT./ HE DIDN'T GIVE ME A NAME OF THE COMPANY HE WAS CALLING FROM ONLY HIS NAME AND THIS NUMBER TO CALL (941)375-6859. I AM VERY SCARED BECAUSE I HAVE RECEIVED A PAYDAY LOAN FROM PAYDAY SERVICES BUT I DON'T REMEMBER WHICH ONES. BUT I AM SCARED BECAUSE HE HAS ALL MY PERSONAL INFORMATION. I LIVE IN NORTH CAROLINA AND I DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT DEBT COLLECTION.

I run this number through a hunt engine and it looks approaching it's base within the Bahamas. It seem possible, base on my superficial research, that it's a scam. People are reporting that caller are threatening penal complex (which isn't possible for debt non-payment) and are not licensed to do business in the state to which they're calling, making demands of pay-now-or-else.
If you own not repaid your loan from PayDay, contact them as to its status. If they enjoy turned it over for collection, find out to what company and who to contact in that. Get a mail address, not newly a phone number, and engineer adjectives your inquiries in writing (keeping a copy for yourself).
Do not convey anybody a loan wage via Western Union, which seem to be the average request from debt collection services calling from that number. People who salaried as ordered are one told their reimbursement be not received and they still owe only just as much.

What make me conjecture this is a scam is the "settle quick" tone and hurried, desperate voice you win from citizens surrounded by this situation. Go stern to the place where on earth you get your loan to ask them if they've started collection proceedings. DON"T confer this sightseer any of your personal information and DON'T confirm anything next to them. If they are truly collecting a debt they should know how to produce a copy of the promissory make a note of you signed. If they can't or won't I would report them to your State's Attorney's department.
