I own worked at a retail store for 3 years. We hold a small staff (7 people). I am the 2nd oldest entity at the store and I am still an associate. Earlier this year, we have an first showing for a keyholder. Because of my rota, I couldn't apply, so a girl I work near get it. Well not long, we have 2 opening for keyholder. Another girl I work near speedily snatched one up previously I could apply. She be promoted inside the store, merely as the girl faster this year. For the later position, it be between me, a unsullied associate (no experience) and an outside aspirant beside sale experience from other stores.
So to be paid a long story short, my superior granted to hire the character from outside the store, departure me once again as an associate. I am touchy because not solitary am I a great worker, but I own store seniority & experience. My principal claims they hired this personality because she could bring experience to the store. I really be aware of close to I deserved it!! Do I hold a right to grain upset?

I'm sorry that you are in that situation. But manager hire & promote relations (MORE ability) who CAN BRING business to their store. Seniority & years of experience is not that relevant anymore. Maybe these family are more reliable. Able to connect w/ the customers, etc. More skills close-fisted possibility of promotion.
as a business owner I would articulate this that I do not promote someone due to seniority. I hire someone due to who I believe will do the best commission. I believe they estimate that you are not the best personality for the assignment if that make you un bullish next you should start to look for a better commission. Do not achieve nutty merely tweaking your situation by finding something you close to better. If you be in motion to another retail store you will fnid that they resembling your experience and you may be the one that they bring in and put in a supervisor type of position. sometimes it is easier to return with the promotion outside of current company you are within.
i would be too but sometimes you sort of gotta run that as a connotation. start mission penetrating for somewhere that will extend you the position you want, at the wage you want or conceivably bargain to your current opportunity and find out why they are holding you spinal column.
hope this help only a lil bit. i go threw a sturdy time at my dated position myself. they couldn't afford a incline when they know how worth it i be. I found another mission that pays 200 bucks more a week, same hours plus benifits and salaried vacation.
you said you couldn't rob the knob position because of your calendar - did that situation ever devolution? Did you agree to the boss know that and that you would approaching to be considered for the subsequent promotion? How would she know you be interested otherwise - you own to speak up surrounded by this world - you snooze, you lose and age have nil to do next to anything
