What is the crew room within mcdonalds?

I've been recently employed at McDonalds (in Australia) and wondering, what is the crew room and what is it for? Can I put my pod in the crew room?

yes it's the room for the crew for lockers and such to put stacks, jackets, take breaks, etc while you work
