Tips for a brief interview?
I am going to a job interview on Thursday for a receptionist position at an auto dealership. From what they listed they are looking for, I consider myself ably qualified. The man who will be interviewing me called today and mentioned they got a huge response to their craigslist post. I could really use this livelihood and really want to impress him and make him hire me! What are some tips/suggestions that can make my interview step smooth and where I can leave a positive indentation?
Thanks!
Answers: Always go for what you think they want to hear. You know explain to them the usual stuff like your punctual, you have excellent customer service skills, you nick feedback in a positive manner, other looking to learn more, that kinda crap. Just make sure you continuously look him contained by the eye, don't fidget, smile occasionally but not too much. GOOD LUCK!
just budge into the interview on time, smile, shake their hands and show that you are perceptive for the job. learn a short time about the company first too, look up their website if they have one. revise who is going to be interviewing you and address them accordingly, "hello Mr.Smith".
dont get apprehensive, they are just people too, i hold faith in you, knock em unresponsive :)
Research the company, find out names of salesman and owners Etc. Also research the auto's they sell, find out everything you can on the company. If its "John Doe" Auto's swot more on him or her, any kids Etc. I wont wish you luck because u wont need it, the available job is practically yours already. Its kind of late very soon, but really the best way to prepare for an interview is to get yourself interviewed for positions you dont want and things you know you will be turned down for. That approach you can practice in a real world cicumstance to return with an idea of the questions you may be asked.
Throw contained by information that shows you know about the company. Research. For example saying something close to, "It's amazing that this business has been operating since 1956." or anything. Something that shows your intersted. Second, go in slightly cocky. I know, but if you portray that your the best, they will suppose your the best. Good luck! Lots and lots of eye contact!! Dress appropriatley but not overly nice in an outfit that is too fancy for an interview. Smile, hold a firm handshake. BE CONFIDENT.
