Losing motivation for college, someone PLEASE hand over me some direction, gratefulness :)?

When i first started my freshman year at niu, I was all for it i be doing well on all my assignments, getting chiefly b's and some a's.NOW, i am just not feeling it anymore. As the classes hold gotten harder and workload close to impossible I find myself slipping getting mainly C's and i am not as driven as before and find myself getting tired of working especially doing papers. Then it's similar to im gettign discouraged because when i put forth so much time and effort, it's almost like i enjoy nothing to show for because i still cant get a's . Like i studied for perchance 4 hours for my math test last week and my friend studied 1-2 hrs. I get a 40% and she got an 82%..someone help how can i carry motivated again with one month left.

Answers:    You involve to keep thinking about why you are surrounded by college and remember that how you perform in college guides your adjectives potential employers on how you may perform contained by the real work place. Not saying you hold to go to college or have to bring back great grades to do well in duration, but it sure helps greatly and does opens doors which you may not otherwise own available to you otherwise. Of my close friends from high school I be the only one who went to a core university and did ok...not great...mainly B's and I earn an average of 60% to 75% more than any of them and have a art that is challenging and give me alot of good growth opportunities. Don't grasp me wrong, money is not the key thing, but enjoy your job/career and earning a good living spills over into other areas of your vivacity (ie can afford nice relaxing vacations with your line, can afford to save for retirement, don't stress as much about bills). Making straight A's or B's won't guarantee anything, but again it can impart you a headstart and open some doors which will impact your life for years to come.

Work tough.find what makes you happy...and dutiful luck!!
That's rough. First, try not to beat yourself up too much. College is hard. Don't run too many classes and never take something process beyond your capability. Maybe you aren't prepared for that math class, or maybe you enjoy test anxiety.
You could be one of the legions of people who be never taught how to learn math. I'm sure your college have a learning assistance center and can offer study technique. You can do this! I dont have a college degree and I am making $10 an hour, enjoy no health or retirement benefits, and little shot of working my way up the stepladder. There's your motivation. You could take a break for a semester and see how you feel in the region of working for minimum wage...
want incentive ?
go to welfare lines ask who has college degrees/
dance to day labour agencies, work contained by one for a week.
go to temp agencies look around.

understand a 'degree' is worth what u do next to it . u must produce or get replaced.

u need to reasses why u are nearby b4 wasting ur time and money any more.
Think about how much worse your life will be WITHOUT a college amount.

Bottom line, at your age, with the reduction in a slow down, you will WANT a college degree.

Suffer immediately, enjoy more later.

perfect luck!
If you wish to stay in stay surrounded by. Collage is hard and it is not for all. You could steal time off and do a little time off and clear your head. I used to think College be all B.S., but now I realize after workin a bunch of * job where employers look down on u...it is worth it to stay surrounded by school.
Get a job at Mc Donald's for a week. Think give or take a few the fact that if you blow off college, THAT is your adjectives. Sometimes the "Fear of God" is what we need to re-direct our energy. Then travel to your counseling center and get some tutoring to help you bring up your grades. Tell yourself, "When I attain an A in this topic I will reward myself by giving myself a,b c.." It will motivate you to get better grades also by knowing you own a "reward" on the other end of this. Your discipline now will reward you for years to come. ** when you are driving the vehicle of your dreams, and living the life you have other dreamed of! Smile.
