Hellos I Got A Job Prob Please Help?

I am looking for a first job. Ive been putting within application after application and i'm getting no calls. Am I doing something wrong? What more can I do? Please help gratitude

Answers:    Just filling out an application is not enough. You hold to call to follow-up. Find out the manager's name and phone after a coupe days.
First of all make sure that near are absolutely no typos or grammatical errors on your application. (have someone you trust review them)

Second of all, because it is your first profession you don't have any experience so that in and of itself can hold on to you from getting hired. So you will have to compensate.

Don't put down that you can only work a dictatorial range of hours. Sometimes that will make you look inflexible.

Make sure that you are dressed nice etc when you come within to ask for an application. Be polite and express a real interest (even if you have to bogus it) in working for their company.

Since you are looking for your first job, you will stipulation to be patient as it will take a bit for someone to thieve a chance on you.

Make sure they know if you have volunteered and help out or anything that will make you look like a conscientious individual who would be a righteous addition to their company.
My brother gave me this counsel when I looked for my first job: Aim Low. You have to own a bad job up to that time you can get a good one. Clothes stores commonly look for experience, whereas supermarkets do not. Try a place that takes on a lot of workforce, as opposed to just one or two. Working as a bank clerk in a supermarket or whatnot is good as you gain experience that can be applied following to better jobs. My first job last 2 years in a large supermarket and it's not unpromising at all! Granted, fast food places are impossible to work in. If you start on a cash register surrounded by a grocery store you can prove that you are responsible, and move up to customer service. Beyond that it's a junior managerial position. Just a suggestion, hope you find a lovely job :) Most job require some experiences.Try the Recruitment Agencies.Jobs are available in just roughly every career field & location.Temporary job can give you experience in industries & career.A temporary job can become a irreparable position.Temporary jobs offer an opportunity to earn income, add on skills to your resume while continuing your search for that “perfect position.”
Oh geese... You say no quickly food and what do people put?... FAST FOOD!
I was against working at a nippy food restaurant also. I don't like the setting and I don't want to be eating that crap! I would influence have someone look over your resume and point out what they would want as a quality. How you present yourself is a factor; your appearance? you may expect you look great but you have to look at it from the employers perspective. When you turn within your application be up beat and confident. Introduce yourself so they will remember who you are and call you wager on. I hope you get the answers you're looking for and don't lower your goals, you can do anything if you set your mind to it. Really, I'm not freshly saying that. =) Good Luck! Butterflies is completely right. It isn't you, it's the econonomy. You don't have a family unit to support. Laid-off people who do are given precedence over teens right now. Keep submitting applications and following up on them, but be aware you may not know how to find anything. Alternatives are to do an unpaid internship in a field you are interested within, volunteer work in community service, fast-food jobs, or self-employment (odd job for your neighbors). The first two will help in college applications and/or careerwise after you graduate. The latter two will produce some actual income, if that's what you inevitability. Don't laugh when people confer you good advice.
First of adjectives, what is your age? If you're too young, you may not qualify. Also, employers look at work history (a absence thereof is a risk for them), your availablity (like if you can only work certain days or times because of college they might not want to deal with the scheduling conflicts)...and if you're applying for a retail assignment, they want to see that you are willing to work weekends AND holidays. At your age the the only opening are going to be jobs nobody wants and no experience called for. Try businesses that have high turnover and low wages. Nursing homes etc. Also win out the lawn mower. When I was your age I did lawns and have a leaf blower and I made $30 and hour sporadically. See if your school have a jobs office. Also try pro tem places. Movie theaters and stadiums as well as county fairs enjoy jobs. Also call wager on those people you put in apps. beside. Good luck.
Follow up. Contact the places that you applied and just say "Hi, I submitted my application on (whatever date) and I needed to check the status on the job opening that you enjoy because Im really intrested in the position..blah blah blah. Follow ups always cause a good impression. It may be something near your background.
Make sure you have apposite reccomendations.
:D Check your resume for any misspelled or grammatical errors.

ALso, it may not be you, but other people may have lately had more experience.

Best of luck, I hope you get your dream available job!
No sweetey -- the problem is people are laid off right in a minute -- ALL OVER and people trying to save their job are being forced to take the teen job because there is NOTHING else out there....it's not YOU ---- it's the discount...I'm serious -- I was laid off for 5 months -- it's bleak here (in Florida) and getting worse.I'm sorry. Bro!!
In Whole world, at this time, the job are getting too rare!! Try to find more than 1 job!! because if you applied in 10 places, I'm sure you will get response from at smallest two!!
Pray to god and try to keep your presentation (Way of talk and behavior) Good!!
you will soon win a job!!
make sure when you dance into a store you look like youre dress for an interview. If you do this, managers will see how professional you are and will be more drawn to hire you. Plus if you wear the professional clothes, you might own an interview given to you right away. Look into working at a local mall or department store. Make sure when you give an applicatio, to budge into the store to show you care! Also, when you go into interview, dress other, dress to impress!
Work for a temp placement agency first. Then, you can use that as a jumping-off point to obtain a more permanent position near "experience" under your belt. It's very rock-hard to get your first job since you don't own experience.
When I was looking for my first I was told you'll gain an average of 1 interview per 50 applications. That seems about right.
Make sure in attendance is no spelling or grammatical errors on your resume when you hand it in. Judging by your post you more than probable have quite a few! Constructive criticism, sir :) Stop putting applications within and follow up with the ones you have contained by... Employers look for persistance... Call them once a week.
i dont know maybe your not old satisfactory sometimes they wont hire you unless your old enough Strengthen your resume. Try a fastfood combined for a few months, quit and go for bigger fish.
Do some extra activities, that'll fashion you seem like a existing hard worker!

Good luck!
It not a bad item they are just not for you. Keep trying and dont worry it will begin - promise! it shouldnt be that hard to get a livelihood a mcdonalds.
where i live people newly go to Disney because they get anybody not sure where on earth the apps are going, but try Fast Food or Walmart, they will hire anyone
