Has anyone hear going on for extension of severance?

the Republicans in congress and the President are fighting the funding so the states would know how to extend benefits.
so for now 26 weeks is it no extensions.
There have be times that unemployment benefits have be extended beyond the standard 26 weeks. Those have been times of recession contained by which unemployment claims have be quite high for a long spell. I'm unaware of any provision for extension of one person's benefits. My unemployment have just run out last week. I asked and be told that it is up to the Pres. So at this time there are no extensions.
