Do Family Lawyers jump to court?
I'm in High School and I know I want to be a lawyer and assistance people. The only problem is that I am slightly introverted (though I can speak up when I want to) and would fairly prefer to avoid courtroom cases. I also, though, want to work with kids. Does anyone know whether or not Family Lawyers go to court or do they do the legalities outside? Thanks!
Answers: Yes they jump to court. Most lawyers working with kids (and working as lawyers) enjoy to go to court.
If you want to avoid courtroom cases, you can be (1) an appellate attorney; (2) a transactional attorney [reviewing/drafting contracts]. There are other attorneys who don't go to court.
Now, you can other be a family law attorney and not budge to court (handle the case up to, but excluding, trial)...
Since you are still in illustrious school, you will have time to win the strength to do the job. College will teach you greatly about people and you may blossom into a creature you never imagined you could be, but if you want to help children you may find that field to be heartbreaking loved ones and court are two words that should never go together. Yes, those fu kers go to court. And "familial law" is the biggest lie on the planet. Those people are the wrecking ball of the American family. They specialize in assisting contained by the destruction of them. They don't cause it, but they are right there to steal whatever side is paying them and screw the other side over. All so they can make money. I don't know you, but if you become a "relatives lawyer", I will have no respect for you.
