Any guidance? I'm applying for other job!?
I'm currently signed off my work with stress as I perceive that I'm being victimised at my work. I already have 2 disciplinaries on my copy for really petty reasons. I work nightshift in a supermarket and I'm man made a scapegoat if all the work doesn't get done. There's zilch I can do about that now. I'm going stern to work tomorrow.
The thing I'm really concerned about is the hint I will get from my current employer. I'm currently applying for lots of jobs. I'm vastly keen to either seize into the prison service or the fire service. However, they require a reference from my present employer. I've been told that for a mention they print off my file which includes unreality percentage and disciplinaries. Does anyone have any advice on how I can operate with this? i.e. is there a approach round it? Should I be honest with my prospective employer? Cheers. By the way, I live contained by Scotland, if that helps.
Answers: your employer can`t give you a unpromising reference by law, they can offer details on your 2 disiplinaries but if you explain to your new employer why you got them they should be overlooked if they are petty close to you say,
Be honest and up front with adjectives interviews. That is to say explain why you are leaving your present employer, unmerited treatment, unreasonable requests, You don't mind working hard but you feel that you are one blamed for their short comings. This is causing you stress and rather next be labled with an unjust reputation you get the impression it's time to move on.
Then sell your better points, be ten min. impulsive for the interview, be smart, be relaxed but attentive.
Good Luck
Be honest with the new/potential employer. Whatever you do, never talk desperate about the last employer.it give the new/potential employer a bad impression of you.
Sometimes the topical employer doesn't even call the old employer. That would be my hope for you.
Good Luck.
