Am I going to lose my assignment?
I have a disciplinary hearing within the next couple of days, this will be my second one in the space of a month, at the first the outcome be a first written warning (there are four stages in the disciplinary process, informal conversations, consequently it goes to first written, 2nd written, final written and then dismissal) near have decided to also enjoy a HR manager in the seminar, which didn’t happen at my first disciplinary, which concerns me. The reason I hold gotten the warning in the first place is due to lateness, I be determined to put a stop to this, but then about a week following I found that a family member have died which affected my performance at work, and I be late a couple more times. I wonder if someone can advise me on this.
Answers: I suggest you explain this at your disciplinary audible range. but you need to realise that people still hold to go to work during stress etc and get on near life. If a death contained by the family is very upsetting next you are better taking time off and explaining this (it may be unpaid) but at least you own time to sort yourslef out. It's also likely that they've been asked to be here because they're more familiar with employment decree than what your manager is - he or she is worried that they might say something that they could subsequently get in trouble for. Also, it's regular that there would be a witness at meetings such as this, which within many companies would be a representative from the HR department.

Let me give you an example of the procedure. Mrs LL works for XX Limited. Mrs LL received a verbal qualification following the disciplinary process for lateness. She received a written warning for being rude to a client after a disciplinary process. She received a final written qualification again for lateness and a couple of weeks after receiving the final written warning she is behind again. Provided the proper processes are used in these type of situations, the Company can dismiss for misconduct. She is already on a final written warning. The final written qualification is normally in force for one year. She have committed an act of misconduct. It does not have to be connected near the reason for the final written warning. Therefore, the employer could start a disciplinary process and legitimately dismiss Mrs LL for human being late.
Probably they will give you the final written alert in your case, im sorry to articulate that you will have to make an efford to bring back to work on time, 2 disciplinary hearings contained by one month is not good news im afraid ..

Did you explain to your representative why you were late? If you'd explained the situation they should hold been sympathetic but if you've not told them you can't expect them to be psychic.
Definately have the HR boss and explain yourself thoroughly and politely - don't get angry or bolshy with your boss because they hold your mission in their hands!
Make an honest chronicle of every area in your work where you excel and all those areas where on earth you could do better. Those areas that need improvement construe of a target for improving them and try harder - if they say that it's not only your lateness but ... you can then reply with your plan of motion. Remember the list of areas you are good at so that if it comes to it you can argue that you are a expensive member of staff were it not for your recent slip up.
You also call for a good reason for human being late - if you are up late every dark and going to the pub or even watching TV instead of going to bed early enough that you can obtain up in the morning you are not taking your job seriously! Try and travel to sleep earlier and get up bright and fresh for work respectively day - weekends are for partying!
Finally you should hopefully not lose your job this time as you've solely had one written warning. If you don't resembling your job look for another that you will want to get out of bed for - kick before you are pushed! If you do like your errand make a real crack from now on! And what ever you do - don't be late again previously the hearing!

If they are going to bring in your performance into the equation, they must treat this seperate from the lateness issue.
However when they are discussing the issue of lateness, next they can move up the warning ladder, as you own received a warning already due to lateness.
A written warning stays on your wallet for 13 weeks, and as you have been in arrears whilst the first warning is live, they are well inwardly their rights to move up the warning ladder.
However you may still appeal the qualification given the family circumstances.
An appeal will go one of 3 ways. Upheld (stay), reduced or increased, so the ruling is yours to make.
