UPS Package Handler Part Time(25 hrs.) question?
Who's worked as a p/t bag handler at UPS earlier, specifically at NYC(Maspeth hub) or similar city. I only just applied for the living and smartly get an appointment set up for a dark shift, which is great since I'm a full time college student. I've read elsewhere some discouraging things nearly this mission w/ UPS, so I own a few question back decide to come first out for the appointment:
1)What will come up at the appointment?
2)What's the settlement near the irregular hours for the appointment?
3)After the appointment, how much time will it hold to truly start working?
4) As far as physical, I'm in the region of 5'8", 173+ lbs, not "surrounded by shape", but I could elevate "moderate" weights. How difficult would it probably be?(I shouldn't hold dropped out of the gym, I'm such a apathetic ***)
5)How's the work ethic? Any moral issues? Is in that moral at the charge?
6)How are the supervisors? Easy going or straight assholes?
I'm hoping for the best. I "desperately" have need of the unlucky poor recompense. Thanks contained by finance.

I be once offered like opportunity, but turned them down because I have a full time opening and a child and could not risk a I don`t know article for a sure one. In perception after the fact I be stupid.
The packet handling position at UPS is other given to college students for a origin. UPS uses this mission to hire lots other positions, drivers, manager, etc. etc. And as the drivers are a confederation undertaking, it is a pretty virtuous see if you can return with it. Many college student back up dropping out of institution once they realize their most important will not set aside the rate and benefits UPS does.
The downside is it is tough work, you hold to be capable of fetch 75 lbs up to 20 yard for your entire shift. Reality is that the bulk of the boxes are around 20 pounds and your body will like lightning vary to the chore. And close to I said they offered me the assignment and I be 5'1" and 115 pounds soaking drizzling.
As for work ethic, moral issues, and supervisors, they will change from hub to hub. No event where on earth you work surrounded by your vivacity you will run into problems...enthusiasm is not carnival and in that is no impeccable world.
I know they expect you to work while you are on the clock, as most employer do. I also know that what you deem "unlucky poor pay" is in reality pretty darned upright for a unpaid unskilled opening. Don't know where on earth you would grasp a better one.
And the traffic next to the strange hour for the intervierw is that your opportunity would be strange hours. If I remember correctly (and it have be more than a few years) you draw from one of two shifts, something approaching 2 am to 8 am or 6 pm to midnight. I could be sour on that. So my guess is your first "test" is to see if you are comfortable near showing up prompt on unusual hours.
It sounds close to you aren't working and could use the money. Try this, quit worrying more or less "what-ifs" and "maybes" and verbs give or take a few working. There is no regulation that say if you pilfer the errand you cannot quit if you loathe it.
And, as I love to remind ethnic group, 100% of something is a complete lot better than 100% of zilch, which is what you enjoy very soon.
