35 or more hours are considered full time. But not adjectives employer own to provide benefits.however in attendance are a couple of benefits that the employer have to supply by imperative. The employer does not own to provide robustness insurance.
last i checked in california it be 32 hours a week for 3 consecutive settle up period
The minute you work that first 40-hour week, you are full time
benefits depends on company policy. Are you an approved member of staff or a contractor / temp? Does the company money you or some outside agency? do you hold an member of staff #? Did you permeate out unknown hire paperwork next to and I-9, a W-4, etc? If yes, you're an member of staff. a great deal of companies submit benefits to relations who work 30+ hrs per week. How abundant workforce surrounded by the company. How long own you worked in attendance?
Generally, working over 29 1/2 hours is considered full time.
There is not a decree, federal or state, that mandate an employer to provide benefits to an hand, no thing how frequent hours you work. The ruling sets edges on dinnertime breaks, breaks, and such, but that is to say adjectives to be precise mandate. An employer does not even own to settle up you for sick time, leave time or holidays by tenet.

Read your guide for your company to see what their definition of full time is, and what the requirements are to become eligible for benefits. Some employer require 40 hours per week for a clear in your mind number of consecutive weeks to be considered full time. So you may work 40 hours for 2 weeks, next drop to 35 hours the subsequent week, and later final up to 40 hours a week the week after. (This would next bear you out of eligibility for benefits)
