"Smart casual" dress code at my brand new profession - what is appropriate?
I am starting a tentative chore tomorrow, as an Administration Officer, and own be told that the dress code is "smart casual". This is my first "corporate" type career (if you can christen it that), as I am a student and hold individual worked restaurant/bar/hotel type work beforehand.
Any specific suggestions on appropriate outfits (clothing, shoes etc.), or specific what-not-to-wears? Thanks!

Rule of thumb: If you can wear it to the seaside or to the club, don't wear it to work.
Polo's, khakis, slacks, loafers (or even the running/casual shoe see here http://www.footlocker.ca/en/product.aspx... ) dress shirts etc.
You'll be fine! I know it seem similar to profoundly (I've simply not long started a up to date "corporate" position and it be also my first). Just wear a dress shirt dress pant and shoes your first afternoon, see what everyone's wearing and next use that as a guideline for what and what not to wear.

Smart casual usually finances that you don't own to be so corporate as to wear suits and shirts but it also usually technique no denim and no sneakers. For your first year probably wear nice slacks and a nice top and next see what everyone else is wearing and work from in attendance
Look professional and verbs and nice but don't grasp too slothful sundays on them.
A thong. White blouse & plaid mini skirt w/ 3" heels. Wear your mane surrounded by pig tail as powerfully. Guaranteed to get hold of you a elevate or promotion or at the most minuscule imprint for the subsequent Brittney Spears video.
Go to some local department stores and look at the dressier pant suits and sweater sets/ etc. Men can win away beside khaki's and a armada blue shirt within that environment, but it get trickier for a womanly. For 'smart uninterested', I'd budge near slacks (dark colored on most days, but could go and get away beside khakis on Fridays) and nice blouses or sweaters.

A right foggy convoy blue sport coat will clear even jeans look correct. Kakis and a blue botton down are perfect. That course you can other supply a tie if too little or drop the coat is too much
I travel between multiple office of my same company and respectively have a slightly different attitude. So i alway s hang on to a tie contained by my computer pack. If your bureau is visit by customer, err on the formal side.
oops, womanly.. simple murky skirt , not too short, blouse. Again, if customers are present, same as above
