Do RN's assist in surgery?

I am starting institution and I cant settle on if I want to turn for surgical technology or RN specializing in orthopedics.

Do RNs specializing in orthopedics assist in surgeries?

Answers:
They CAN but across the world don't. The Surgical Tech does adjectives that. In the O/R the RN pretty much keep track of adjectives the meds used, counts the sponges, and does the paperwork while keeping up next to adjectives the vitals and answering the doctor's cell phone.

RN get salaried buttloads more though.
no, they furnish meds, monitor vitals, and ratify instruments to the docs.
any nurse in the OR assists in surgery... you stand in one spot and listen to the doctor shout instructions and go by him surgical tools. no you do not certainly acquire to cut or anything approaching that on a long-suffering. sometimes you might be asked to hold something (like a upper limb, organ, etc...) so the doctor can draw from better access to anything he's doing surgery on... mostly nurses are responsible for setting up and tear down the operating room, tape key information, charging the merciful for supplies, and supplying the doctor next to what he wishes to do his brief.
