Nurses, techs, etc- do you wear your rings to work?
Married and out of stock gals working in direct long-suffering care- do you wear your engagement ring to work? Does it ever annoy you when you put on gloves? Is the glove powder fruitless for your diamond? Do you ever gash a patient/resident? Is it an infection-control concern? If you don't wear it does your hubby follow?
Sorry for adjectives the question. Just want to know if I should wear mine.

I never wear my diamond, I merely wear my matrimony strip. Husband understand because he doesn't want me to loose my diamond any. I hold particular 2 or 3 nurses who hold lost their diamonds at work. I don't chew over it's polite for them when you are putting on and taking gloves past its sell-by date adjectives hours of daylight. Plus the germs that could draw from stuck surrounded by at hand. It is an infection control concern, our facility recommend merely wearing your tie. Take guardianship.
I'm not, but two sisters are - one in outpatient surgery, the other in ICU. Both enjoy separate, plain gold ingots band they wear to work.
I wear my ring, have a 3/4 carat diamond. Never have problems putting gloves on or scratch a lenient, but i.e. other a possibility. I simply try to mind your Ps and Qs. The powder never seem to bother the diamond, guess cuz it's unadulterated.. I wipe my hand extremely frequently and ring.
I get my ring specially made so it would not snare on gloves.
Because stones do receive caught confidently seriously of relations I work next to do not wear their rings to work and husbands get or don't guardianship. Some women even go as far as getting a cheap ring to wear at work. Diamonds are one of the hardest substance in the world so no powder does not spoil them, only make them dirty.
And no I own never scratched or hear of anyone scratch a PT next to one. And they are not an IC issue.
Even if you can't or don't want to wear your ring to work, within are alternatives to wearing it. A friend of mine begin working in an ICU section as an RN. She didn't want to ruin her engagement ring, so she wore it around her nouns on a gold ingots manacle while she be working.
I solely wear my celebratory ring. The diamonds enjoy never gotten contained by the approach, but the lotions and antibacterial foams we use really gunk it up.
My husband would take in, but I grain bare lacking it. If I did consistency the stones be within the process, I'd of late wear a plain decoration.
I'm manly and not married, but I'm a Respiratory Therapist (RRT). I don't wear any sort of jewelry, except for a keep watch on. The scrutinize is basic, so I own one that I can wipe-off well if someone bleeds or throws-up on it.
I saw something strange on an X-ray once, much to the entertainment of my clinical instructor. A doctor's mitt be on the X-ray and her ring shadow be present on the picture. It looked relatively strange.

My kindly is that hospitals will agree to you wear your engagement or celebratory ring(s). It's a personal choice. I would not and I hope my fiancee/wife be sensible plenty to realize that I be protecting myself, her, my patients, and preventing loss of the ring by not wearing it to work. Getting myself or someone in my house sick because of something I carried home in my ring would be extraordinarily upsetting.
