GIS = Global Information Systems
Answers:
Ya, I can answer this for you.
Firstly, GIS is "geographic information systems" and it is a craft that involves using map for solving business problems. The simplest uses of GIS are in map making.
Most civil engineering companies use GIS so they make use of technicians. Public and private utilities, forestry services, academy and management districts (city states, etc.) adjectives use it... these groups sign up abundantly of GIS staff to brand map and to analyse where on earth their things of advantage are, be, or will be located.
Salaries and hourly wages swing by nouns within the U.S. (would use GIS to prove that) as all right as how much experience and training you enjoy. With a tag from a trade academy, you could seize a $25./hour post surrounded by my nouns.
I am a senior GIS staff professional.
GIS is a awfully fulfilling livelihood if you live contained by the eastern states of Australia!. I live surrounded by SA and am struggling to find a work, even though i graduate some 6 months ago. You would be employed by local and state parliament departments, power and hose utilities, and if you register next to contracting agencies such as EBR, GHD and SKM, chore vacancies are plentiful, again, in the eastern states. Contractors for GIS can expect between $20 and $35/hr, whereas full time organization can expect to carry above $50,000/yr. Hope this answers your press. Any query only reply to this message. Im chitchat something like job surrounded by Australia obviously, not close to the answer below, which is for the USA!
