I work in a small bureau for an HVAC contractor. In accessory to table lamp paperwork...I also answer phones, programming (Visual Basic), IT, PC assist desk, PC technician, AutoCAD guru, permits/inspections. hmm..I guess you could articulate I'm not the typical admin since admins generally don't do the intense computer stuff similar to programming and most probably don't know AutoCAD any.
not particularly. it undeniably depends on the size of the company's operation and ur opening title. as a rule, clerical staff will do most of the broadsheet work. surrounded by broader language, control involves supplier and customer relationship organization. it is also concerned roughly setting, implement and monitoring the policies and procedures on overall operation of the company.
I work in NYC and my job includes business junk mail, emails, calendar, setting up meeting (food & beverages), payment, organization supplies, travel (airfares, hotels, vehicle services), expense reimbursement (American Express), providing occasional departmental party, use of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel & PowerPoint, running unusual errands sometimes, picking up clients from Reception and bringing them to the meeting, scheduling candidate for interviews, attend compliance seminars/workshops, and trouble-shooting for executive manager when requisite. Also, I am the intermediary for everything from Security, heat control, housekeeping, sagging pictures, mailroom issues and more. This is man an Administrative Assistant. The Executive Assistants enjoy few topics, but more "bullet points."
Generally admin work are paper-related and desk-bound. However, in today's IT tecnology, admin work could also entail prime computer understanding.

No, I work in direction. There is rather a choice. You business deal beside other bank (if within the financial industry). I never know from which cog of the world my subsequent phone christen is coming from. I also matter beside clearinghouses worldwide. Actual paperwork is one and only a quarter of my work.
