Emt Basic surrounded by Vegas?
I currently live in Vegas and considering possibly becoming an EMT core. I was wondering if anyone know how much EMT basic's start off at? Also should I turn to the local community college, or go to a technical/vocational university? What is the job outlook, and my likelihood for obtaining a profession in Clark County? And what is the difference between EMT essential, Intermediate, and even paramedic? Thanks a lot and God bless.

I got my EMT Basic end month here in Phoenix. I work at Target making 8 dollars an hour. Why you ask? No one will hire me in need experience and none of the ambulance companies are hiring! EMT-B is the simplest of the three. You are basically the driver. Also, (depending on your local breadth of practice)You can administer Oxygen, Aspirin, Activated Charcoal, Nitroglycerin, and oral glucose (half of which require you to patch to the hospital and get authorization from a doctor). You can also take vitals (and you will do nil but that until you get promoted). EMT-I's are merely short of the Paramedic. The Intermediate can start IV's and administer some drugs via IV. The paramedic can administer all drugs on the train, interprets EKG's, can insert an Endotracheal tube for patients that aren't breathing at all or amazingly slowly.
My instructor was a Paramedic. He said it be the hardest year and a half of his duration and if he could go subsidise, he probably wouldn't do it again. They say at smallest one person is getting divorced during medic institution. So it is very difficult, but worth it once you are employed by a virtuous company or Fire Dept.
