Can an employer not adopt an on the spot resignation?
if i'm getting tired of the undertaking and requirements to appropriate a rest and decide to quit work can my boss reject my resignation?

You can be fired straight, and you can end your employment only just as quickly.

Even if you can quit urgently. Do not do it until you hold another situation you can start in a jiffy. Most companies fairly hire a human being who is already employed. this tell them you are employable.
There are some job which may be critical to the company. These job require notification of termination from any side (Management and/or Employee). This allows the company to find a suitable soul to cram the position you are something like to vacate. They may even require you to train your replacement.
Check your lingo of employment.
