If you're smart satisfactory (and apparently arrogant enough) to attend a prestigious university consequently you should know how to research career on your own. Fresh out of college you're NOT going to find well-paying, you'll find menial entry-level pay. Competitive possibly, but not well-paying. History and English degree are aimed more at edification than actual career.
