there is a phone number or email address that you can go to within order to stop junk letters and telemarketers in canada, but i can't find it anywhere. does anyone know who to contact?

If you wish these call to stop you should pick up a 'telezapper'. It takes about 30 second to install and will stop MOST, not all of the telemarketing calls.

As far as junk mail. Nothing stops it. Here surrounded by the US you can contact and fill out a form with the postal auth which will stop some of it.
Since you are contained by Canada I'd suggest contacting them if they have a similar program however I doubt they will guarantee 100%.
