Question roughly speaking marketing a team game I created... May nouns dumb but any assist would be appreciated!?

I made up this baseball game that uses a deck of cards and two dice, is it possible to copywrite the rules and get royalties of some sort for it? Maybe "royalties" is the wrong word because that would insinuate that I would draw from paid whenever someone plays it, which you can't keep track of... but could something similar to that be marketed even though it doesn't include anything "new" (i.e a deck of cards and dice) or can the idea be sold to a gaming company?
Maybe I could create specialty cards beside the same type of value as middle-of-the-road cards and make a game board to simulate the playing grazing land... anyway, any ideas or suggestions or does anyone know how to get an perception out there?

Answers:    You need to design and produce a prototype, next to special cards for the game, it's got to be more specialized than simply a deck of plain cards and a couple dice. Maybe cards with a baseball theme, and a winter sport board with slots for the cards, or something.
If you visit the US Government's copyright and trademarking websites you can revise the difference between copyrighting something (which generally applies to intellectual property, such as your game might be) and trademarking something - such as the describe of a game, a logo or a marketing slogan.

Good luck.
Sounds like a cool activity. You need to make it copyrightable, so include unique parts to it like special dice, cards, hobby board, money, timer. Then sell it yourself or you can license the game to a team game developer, and collect royalties.
