I started my own electrical company. If I wanted you to pick me out of all the other electricians surrounded by the phone book, what could I do to grab your attention and make you christen me if you needed electrical work?

Answers:    Ok, I have been surrounded by this situation when I want a skilled man to do a job, and I have spent hours looking through the phone book. Usually when I am looking for someone it is because I want a assignment done as soon as possible, and I am looking for someone who will give me a free estimate to do the job, or even a fixed call-out payment to inspect what is involved. Also, it is very frustrating when I call someone and the phone rings and rings - not a soul answers...so I call a different company.

So if I were you, I would put within your advert that you do free estimates within a certain nouns (if you do that) or that your call out fee is fixed next to no hidden extras (some people start calculation costs on for fuel and time)...so its important to your potential customer to know the exact cost of calling you out.

Also if you offer the following things...these will attract populace to you rather than the others, for example:

24 hour ansaphone
fixed call out rate (no obscured costs)
qualified engineer
no job too big or small
domestic and retail

Hope that have given you some ideas, the main piece is to tell your potential customers that you can do the job, against the clock and at a good cost. That is what customers want.

hmmmm..I'm not sure how you would put this in your hoarding, but remember to talk in benefits to them, not features of your company. the things that i'd look out for would be experience and surroundings. you should place that on your advertisement.
