Is in attendance a site that I can use to check one-off site people?
I'm looking to grasp FREE stats on websites - traffic, extremely rare hits, etc. I've hear of Alexa, but is in attendance anything else?

If you are going to check stats on YOUR own website, later in attendance are:

Statcounter (very restricted info) http://www.statcounter.com
But if you are looking for stats of OTHER websites that you do not own or control, afterwards Alexa is plainly one of the best free source out nearby. Note though that Alexa's ranking is merely an estimation and not an accurate representation of a site's ranking as it of late documentation those who enjoy downloaded the toolbar.

If you want to use a more authoritative source, later use Nielsen/Netmedia rankings -- though this is not free and far too expensive

You could put a webbeacon on your site. A small transperant .gif. Once cached the browser won't call upon it again. Give it a custom server log and you'll see adjectives the innovative IP address.
